Templelands is a farm on the slopes of the East Lomond Hill, above Ladywell and Chapelyard.

Part of the farm of Hilton of Falkland, q.v. According to NSA ix, 938, ‘the ground on which the manse was erected was anciently part of the property of the Order of Knights Templars; and a copious spring of excellent water at the manse is still named St John’s Well.’"[1]
