"In the NW corner of this 'square', the drydashed Fountain House look C18, but its corbelled SW corner suggests that i may be the remodelling of an earlier house; in the W gable, an inset stone dated 1690 [2] "Fountain House, The Cross, 1735, was later remodelled. Note grotesque on skewputt.[3]
