The Arraty Burn rises on the north slope of the Lomond Hills and flows through a wooded valley called the Arraty Den. It passes Kilgour and then flows westward, passing Chancefield and the Pillars of Hercules, eventually joining the Maspie Burn to form the Falkland Burn which flows northwards to the River Eden.
