Newton of Falkland is a small village about a mile to the east of Falkland.
The historic buildings of the village can best be explored by street:
"Small C18 and C19 weaving and malting village, described, rather unfairly, by The Imperial Gazetteer of 1865 as 'an irregularly built, disagreeable place'."
"Hamlet dating from 18th century, once dependent on Maltings."
