Sugar Acre is a former field or park, centrally located between the High Street, Pleasance and Back Wynd.

Part of the area has been given up to form the central car park, Community Hall, Falkland Library and public toilets, with an entrance from Back Wynd, and the Sugar Acre Nursery is now the headquarters of the Falkland Gardening Group (formerly Falkland in Bloom).

Sugar Acre Cottage in South Street recalls the name of the park.
