South Street (shown on older Ordnance Survey Maps as Castle Street) runs from Back Wynd to Pleasance and forms part of the secondary east-west axis of the village, together with South Street West, Brunton Street andHorsemarket.
The north side of South Street contains the following houses, from west to east:

- Willow Cottage
- Lendrum Cottage

- 51 to 67 South Street (59 is Leeward, 61 is Rose Cottage)
