Description

Dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, the attractive well-stocked gardens were re-designed by Percy Cane in 1947-52. The Royal Palace is category A listed.

Artistic interest

Outstanding. The design by Percy Cane gives Falkland Palace gardens outstanding value as a Work of Art.

Falkland Palace gardens is designated by Historic Environment Scotland under the "Gardens and Designed Landscapes" category (reference GDL00176).

It is entirely within the Falkland Conservation Area.
