Balmblae historically had a number of houses, most of which have since been demolished.
One of these, presumably the one noted as thatched in the 1963 listing (number 67) was the Hearse House.
The Big Book of Falkland, page 13 (https://historicfalkland.scot/bigbook/Page13.jpg) has a lot of information about the houses in Balmblae and their former inhabitants.
